HELLO, WE'RE THE WOOD WORKS
A ceilidh without the scary bit.
You don't need to know the dances. You don't need a dancing partner. You definitely don't need to be good at dancing.
We play the tunes, our caller talks everyone through the moves, and before long the whole room is laughing, spinning and wondering why they don't do this more often.
Our live line-up features accordion, fiddle, bass and drums, with a mix of traditional favourites and the occasional tune you weren't expecting.

Do our guests need to know the dances?
No. That's what the caller is for. Every dance is explained and walked through before the music starts.
How much space do we need?
Enough room for your guests to dance safely plus a performance area for the band. Tell us about your venue when you enquire and we'll work with you.
Do you bring your own sound equipment?
Yes — we can bring our own PA and the kit needed for the band. We'll confirm the practical details with you before the event.
Where do you play?
We're based in Hampshire and happy to discuss events further afield. Send us the venue or postcode and we'll include travel in your quote.
